Stuart’s career in Executive Search began in 1985 when he joined The Willis Partnership. In 1987, he became co-owner with Ian Willis. Together, they built the business into a leading financial services search boutique. In 1997, he established Stuart Glass Consulting to focus on recruitment in Institutional Investment.
Prior to 1985, he spent five years as a broker in the City, followed by 12 years in Asset Finance in the UK and Asia/Pacific, ultimately in senior management positions in HSBC’s Asia/Pacific merchant bank and then Barclays Finance Holdings, developing services and building new businesses in Asia. His move into research-based recruitment was founded on his corporate and personal assessment skills and relational approach to people. He began recruiting senior investment professionals in 1988.
Fiona’s investment experience began in 1986. She was a senior Client Director with Merrill Lynch Investment Management before joining JP Morgan Asset Management in 2000. At JP Morgan, as well as managing a number of key client relationships, she was responsible for consultant relationships with Mercers and Hewitts. In 2003, she joined Deutsche AM to look after some of their larger clients, before retiring to care for her ailing parents. She joined Stuart in early 2008 and has been recruiting senior investment professionals ever since.
